We are reading The Wandering Star by J.M.G. Le Clézio. This French author won the 2008 Nobel Prize for Literature for his works characterized by the Swedish Academy as being "poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy" and for "being focused on the environment, especially the desert."
The book club welcomes all to join us. We read only Jewish authors or books that treat Jewish themes.

Friday night special edition to coincide with B'nai Emunah's 60th-Anniversary Diamond Jubilee.
Come one, come all! Everyone is invited to join in Israeli folk dancing led by President Sharon Bleviss. Beginners and experts, young and old are all welcome! The sessions will begin with basic instruction on simpler dances and move up to more complex dances. Bring your friends! It is great fun and great exercise! Donations accepted.

Join us at a.Muse Art Gallery in The Mission/Potrero Hill as part of B'nai Emunah's 60th-Anniversary Diamond Jubilee with wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, historical ephemera, and special drawings for prizes. You can chat with friends and members of the community in an open house setting. There will be a special kids-only hangout room as well! A documentary film made by the Confirmation class, featuring interviews with long-time members, will be screened.
